TRENTON — Police are investigating its second murder in five days and 13th on the year, police confirmed early Wednesday morning.
Police responded to a report of numerous shots fired on the first block of Cleveland Avenue around 12:05 a.m. Officers arrived to find Hamibullah Hardy, 34, of Trenton, lying wounded on the porch of a home. TEMs arrived at the scene and tried to treat him, but Hardy was soon pronounced dead at the scene.
"His gunshot wound proved to be fatal," Lt. Stephen Varn said.
Police have not released a description of a suspect or suspects. The TPD's Det. Scott Peterson and Det. Anthony Abarno from the Mercer County Prosecutor's office is investigating the homicide.
